Tamayo Family Care & Tamayo Radiance
Dr. Miguel Tamayo is a board-trained Family Medicine physician with an international medical background and a strong commitment to comprehensive, patient-centered care. He earned his medical degree from Universidad Autónoma de Tamaulipas, Facultad de Medicina in Matamoros, Tamaulipas, Mexico, where he developed a solid foundation in clinical medicine and patient care.​
Following medical school, Dr. Tamayo completed two years of General Surgery training in Monterrey, Mexico, gaining extensive hands-on experience in acute care, surgical evaluation, and complex medical decision-making. He later transitioned his medical career to the United States to further his training and expand his scope of practice.
Dr. Tamayo completed his Family Medicine residency at McAllen Medical Center, affiliated with The University of Texas Rio Grande Valley (UTRGV). During residency, he trained in full-spectrum family medicine, caring for patients across all ages and backgrounds, with an emphasis on preventive care, chronic disease management, and culturally competent healthcare delivery.
Today, Dr. Tamayo is the Founder and CEO of Tamayo Family Care, a private medical practice dedicated to serving individuals and families in the Rio Grande Valley with high-quality, compassionate, and accessible care. Under his leadership, the clinic offers a wide range of primary care and wellness services tailored to the needs of a diverse community.
In addition to primary care, Dr. Tamayo is currently expanding his practice with the launch of an aesthetics sister company Tamayo Radiance, enhancing Tamayo Family Care’s offerings to include cosmetic and wellness services delivered under physician leadership and medical supervision. This expansion reflects his vision of integrative care—supporting both the health and confidence of his patients.
Dr. Tamayo is known for his patient-focused approach, strong clinical judgment, and dedication to community health. His work continues to be guided by a commitment to excellence, innovation, and compassionate medical care.
Jacky Tamayo

Jacky Tamayo is the Co-Founder of Tamayo Radiance, the aesthetics and wellness division of Tamayo Family Care. She plays a key role in shaping the vision, culture, and patient experience of the practice, ensuring that Tamayo Radiance delivers high-quality, ethical, and patient-focused aesthetic care within a physician-led medical model.
With a strong passion for wellness, confidence-building, and community engagement, Jacky is deeply involved in the development of Tamayo Radiance’s services, branding, and patient-centered approach. She works closely with the medical leadership team to support a model that prioritizes safety, professionalism, natural results, and individualized care.
As Co-Founder, Jacky oversees operational growth, patient experience initiatives, and community outreach, helping create a welcoming and empowering environment for patients seeking aesthetic and wellness treatments. Her leadership reflects a commitment to excellence, integrity, and compassionate care.
Jacky earned her medical degree from Universidad México Americana del Norte in Reynosa, Tamaulipas, and is an international medical graduate with advanced training in aesthetic and wellness services. She brings a strong medical foundation and a meticulous, patient-centered approach to non-surgical cosmetic treatments, emphasizing safety, precision, and natural-looking outcomes.
Jacky provides aesthetic and wellness services under the direct medical supervision of Dr. Miguel Tamayo, MD, Medical Director of Tamayo Family Care, PLLC and Tamayo Radiance, PLLC. All services are delivered in accordance with physician-led protocols, evidence-based standards, and industry best practices, ensuring the highest level of patient safety and care.
She is dedicated to helping patients enhance their appearance while supporting overall well-being and confidence through ethical, personalized aesthetic care.

Marilyn Gonzalez BSN-RN
Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner

Marilyn Gonzalez is a Registered Nurse and Graduate Family Nurse Practitioner with a strong clinical background and specialized training in aesthetic medicine. She is a Certified Cosmetic Injector, providing non-surgical aesthetic treatments with a focus on patient safety, precision, and natural results.
She holds a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) in Multidisciplinary Studies with a minor in Social Work from Walden University and previously worked for four years as a Registered Nurse in the DHR Neonatal Unit, where she gained extensive experience in high-acuity patient care and clinical assessment.
Marilyn has worked alongside Dr. Miguel Tamayo, MD for the past two years, receiving direct mentorship and hands-on training from his extensive medical and procedural expertise. She is currently seeing patients under the supervision of Dr. Tamayo while completing the requirements for full licensure as a Family Nurse Practitioner, in full compliance with Texas Board of Nursing regulations.
As part of Tamayo Radiance, Marilyn provides aesthetic and wellness services under physician leadership and medical supervision, utilizing evidence-based protocols and certified techniques to ensure safe, ethical, and high-quality cosmetic care.
Alexandra Lumbreras
Certified Nursing Assistant & Phlebotomist
Alexandra Lumbreras holds both a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) certificate and a Phlebotomist certificate, providing her with a strong foundation in direct patient care and clinical support. She plays an important role in assisting with patient services, clinical procedures, and ensuring a positive patient experience within the clinic.
Alexandra is currently furthering her career in nursing, with the goal of expanding her clinical skills and bringing additional services to the clinic as she advances in her education. Her dedication to professional growth reflects a strong commitment to patient care, teamwork, and continuous learning.
Known for her professionalism, compassion, and attention to detail, Alexandra is committed to supporting patients and the clinical team while contributing to the delivery of safe, efficient, and high-quality care.
